Teleosis
Homeopathic
Collaborative, LLC
ACHENA Accredited Homeopathy School*
Who We Are
Teleosis has been an educational leader in the homeopathic community for more than 15 years. In 2010 we took the opportunity to evaluate where we have come from and what our future holds, and we are very excited to share with the community our new vision of fully integrated, academically enhanced programs that we believe will enable more people to learn to effectively use homeopathy.
While some areas of the program have gone through much needed changes, the core purpose, mission and educational objectives of Teleosis have not – the heart and soul of Teleosis lives on in both our faculty and the new structure and programs we have created.
Teleosis remains committed to developing well-rounded, classical homeopathic healers through knowledge, practice, growth and community.
Below is information about each of our co-owners/core faculty so that you can better understand how each has been a part of Teleosis in the past and thus provides the commitment, background and experience to steward it into the future:
Loretta Butehorn, PhD,
CCH – Loretta
completed her Clinical Training at Teleosis NY in 2003. From 2003-2005 she
co-taught classes in the transitional program instituted in Boston as a prelude
to opening Teleosis Boston in 2005. From 2005-2010 she served as Director
of the Counseling Program in Teleosis Boston offering introductory homeopathic
courses to mental health and counseling professionals in the New England area;
taught regularly in both the Teleosis Boston Professional Program and
Homeopathic Clinical Programs; and served as Co-Director of Teleosis Boston.
Loretta currently serves as a Core Faculty member of Teleosis Homeopathic Collaborative, LLC, and maintains a private homeopathic and psychotherapy practice in Boston, MA specializing in treating mental health and substance abuse issues. Loretta can be reached at lbutehornphd@gmail.com.
Peris Gumz, RN, CCH - Peris brings decades of
experience in the study and practice of healing arts to her work in homeopathy.
She has done extensive work with refugees from the former Yugoslavia in both
Europe and the US; and she brings her translator’s mind to her ongoing study of
moving between homeopathic and allopathic approaches to health and illness. She’s
been a practicing RN since 1995, and participates in multi-disciplinary
committees at a local hospital with an intent to raise the level of wellness in
the community it serves.
Peris is fascinated by the history of health and disease, the Periodic Table, the evolution of personal lives, and the stories we tell ourselves.
Her education includes the Renaissance Institute of Classical Homeopathy, Teleosis School of Homeopathy, many years of study with Dawna Markova, PhD, an advanced degree in international business, and a life-long groove of independent study.
Peris currently serves as a Core Faculty member of the Teleosis Homeopathic Collaborative, LLC programs and maintains a private homeopathic practice in Belmont, MA. Peris can be reached at peris.gumz@gmail.com.
Kim Kalina, CCH, RSHom
(NA) – Kim is an original graduate of the Teleosis
School of Homeopathy in NY (as founded by Joel Kreisberg & Tim
Owens) and has taken on increasingly responsible
roles in the school since her graduation in 1998; first as office assistant and
student mentor/supervisor of cases, then as teacher, clinician, clinic
director, and finally as director of the entire program when Joel Kreisberg
moved to California in 2004. She served as Director of the school until 2006
when she moved out of the area and closed the school in NY.
In the meantime, a division of Teleosis was opened in Boston in 2003, and Kim has been a support to the Boston program through teaching and supervising students since its inception, eventually also serving as clinic director after closing the school in NY. Kim stepped into the administrative role once again in 2009, as well as continuing as one of the teachers and clinic director.
Kim currently serves as a Core Faculty member and Co-Administrator of Teleosis Homeopathic Collaborative, LLC, and maintains a private homeopathic practice and healing center in Knox, NY, where she also provides weekend initiations in Inspiring Homeopathy for homeopathic students and professionals, as well as CEASE Certification courses for experienced homeopaths in North America.
